Featured Seller - Caffeinated Frenzy

What part of the world are you in?

Cleveland, Ohio

What does customer service mean to you?

Customer service is all about making people happy.

What is your most memorable experience with a customer?

I had a customer order a number of items, and insist on paying more than my set price. I was touched someone felt they were worth more.

What sets you apart from other sellers who are selling similar items?

Easy, I try not to sell similar items. Design, texture, and color can all make something stand apart from a crowd.

How did you learn the skills that make you successful today?

I'm self-taught. It's all trial and error for me.

Do you have any formal training in your craft?

Nope.

What is your goal for the next year?

To expand CaffeinatedFrenzy into more selling venues. I am in the process of consigning with a boutique in Alabama, and I hope more of that work is in the future!

What keeps you motivated when sales are slow?

Pretty colors, design ideas, I'm less motivated with sales than I am with the idea of playing with yarn. :)

What do you do to attract new clients and encourage re-occurring business?

I make sure to follow through with an order. I let them know when it's shipped, include a handwritten note, making it personal really makes a difference.

If you could share one piece of advice with someone who is considering opening their own store of handmade items, what would it be?

Just go for it! Promote any way you can think of, internet ads, blogs, forums. Networking sites such as facebook are excellent ways to promote.
